The Asus A7V mainboard has a green standby-LED right below the AGP-port. This LED lights up when the board is supplied with ATX standby voltage. I have de-soldered this LED and replaced it with a socket, so I can replace the LED with whatever colour I like. Warning: Soldering at your mainboard will definitely void your warranty! You should only try something like this if you have some experience using the soldering iron. Mainboards are stuffed with SMD and other devices and have several layers. If something goes wrong here you will almost certainly have to throw it away.
