I leave a 2cm broad stripe of the inner part remaining so the door doesn't lose it's stability. The Dremel isn't very good for cutting plastics. Because of the high revolutions speed the frictional heat will melt the plastic, causing the cutting wheel to stick and slow down. Because of this you can do only very small cuts at a time and have to allow the dremel to get some RPM inbetween.
